Residents are incredibly angry and disappointed that the Lakeside Drive Fencing has been removed by Townsville City Council without proper consultation.

They have shared with me how this recent demolition of fencing has impacted their lives. The fencing which provided a level of noise mitigation and privacy was originally installed by the Developer during construction of this subdivision. Without it, residential homes are now totally exposed to Lakeside Drive traffic for the very first time and are experiencing elevated traffic noise, and a lack of privacy.

When asked to build it back, and better, Council has said NO!

We, the community, call on the Townsville City Council to reinstate the fence as a priority.
